How to notch back glass for ext. overflow? - Reef Central Online Community: "Should I even bother with a fence or teeth? I hear the a flat skimming surface for overflows is best anyway. I could always leave the trim over the top of the overflow to make it more of a slot than an open overflow. Maybe that'd work better. It'd only be maybe 1/2" tall. Obviously fish could get in sideways, but they'll find a way if they want to anyway. What say you, people of RC? "
