I had moved away from the Bay long ago and lost touch with many of my old friends. There was no Facebook at the time.

Sheepshead Bay Memories, Lost Loved Ones From Sheepshead Bay: "Unfortunately I'd like to add the name of one of my best friends, Scott (Pollowitz) Parker, who was murdered in September 1983, not yet 26 years old.
 He graduated SBHS in June 1975, became a Port Authority Police Officer,
married a wonderful woman, Shari.  He left behind his sister, mother & father and a bunch of friends.

My best friend Mindy Ann Streinfeld,  Sheepshead Bay High School graduate '71
died in 1991. She lived in the Nostrand Projects, and went to Shell Bank Junior High.
Mindy was 37 years old at the time of her untimely death of cancer.
Happy to Have Had Her Friendship for 22 years.

He was 19 years old, I believe. To this day I can't believe that he actually died.
